The Pittsburgh Pirates traded pitcher Clay Holmes to the New York Yankees on Monday for infielders Hoy Jun Park and Diego Castillo. The Pirates said Park currently ranks first among all Triple-A East League players in batting (.327), OBP (.475), OPS (1.042) and walks (46), tied for third in runs scored (44) and fourth in slugging percentage (.567). The 25-year-old, who also played in one game for the Yankees this season, is hitting a combined .307 (62-for-202) with 10 doubles, one triple, 11 home runs, 32 RBI and a .981 OPS in 58 games this season between Double-A Somerset and Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes Barre. The Pirates said Castillo has spent the entire 2021 season with Double-A Somerset of the Northeast League, where he is hitting .277 (62-for-224) with 18 doubles, 11 home runs, 32 RBI and an .850 OPS in 58 games.
