Report: Wrestling Entertainment Series Sell Under 350 Tickets

Ticket sales have not been good for the upcoming Wrestling Entertainment Series show. 

The promotion headed by former WWE tag team the Authors Of Pain is set to hold its inaugural event on Saturday, July 9, at the 10,000-seat Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, England and according to Daily Star's Adam Cailler, less than 350 tickets have been sold for the show. 

"Just been told that this re-arranged show, which still has people advertised on the poster who aren't coming, and is being held at the 10,000 seater Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham has sold *drum roll*... LESS THAN 350 tickets," Cailler tweeted. 

The event has been plagued with issues since it was first announced, with it being pushed back from its original date of June 4 due to the Queen's Platinum Jubilee weekend. This resulted in a much-changed card being announced for the new date with the likes of Alistair Overeem, Moose, Lince Dorado, Eric Young, Dean Muhtadi, and Big Damo scheduled to be in action. 

Issues have only continued to arise since the new date was announced, including claims the promotion is falsely advertising talent for the show. Lina Fanene (FKA Nia Jax) is prominently featured in advertisements for the July 9 show but the former WWE talent has announced that she will not be appearing. Matt Rehwoldt, who was scheduled to work the event as an announcer, also claimed over the weekend that WES had ghosted him. 

If the show will go ahead on Saturday ultimately remains to be seen.
