What a way to confirm that defeat to Manchester United in midweek was just a blip.

Tottenham were sensational on Saturday as they ripped through Burnley in a five-star showing.

Harry Kane had not scored in his previous two Premier League games, but made up for that with a brilliant brace, while Son Heung-min stole the show with a contender for goal of the season.

Not to mention the fact that Moussa Sissoko scored for the second home game running!

It was a great afternoon at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the defence keeping a much-needed clean sheet too.

Here's how we rated the players.

Paulo Gazzaniga

Made a comfortable first half save from Rodriguez's header. Had very little else to do hence his low mark, which isn't exactly his fault. 5

Serge Aurier

Bombing up and down the right, he squeezed Burnley up the pitch even if he didn't contribute too much in an attacking sense. Looked to be injured late on as he was replaced by Skipp. 7

Toby Alderweireld

The usual calm, composed performance from the Belgian as Spurs kept a rare Premier League clean sheet. 8

Davinson Sanchez

Made a big headed clearance off his goal line to deny Wood in the first half. Mopped up everything Burnley threw his way. 8

Jan Vertonghen

Played as a left-back, occasional centre-back and sometimes defensive midfielder alongside Dier in a very versatile display. Didn't put a foot wrong. 8

Eric Dier

One dangerous first half loss of possession aside this was much better from Dier as he stopped plenty of Burnley attacks and distributed the ball well to others. 8

Moussa Sissoko

The midfielder struck the post with a dinked effort from a Son pass in the first half. Made no mistake in the second half, linking up with Kane before firing under Pope to make it goals in successive home matches. Ended the game at right-back in place of the injured Aurier. 8

Dele Alli

He and Son were involved in everything from the get go. He missed a couple of big chances in the first half but played his part in setting up Lucas' goal. Stepped down a gear or two in the second half but he's become so important to Spurs once more. 7

Son Heung-min

Was a constant pest to Burnley, providing the assist for Kane and then setting up Sissoko who hit the post. It was his saved shot that sparked the scramble for Lucas' goal. Got the goal he deserved with a wonderful run all the way from the edge of his own penalty area before slotting home. Tired slightly in the second half but he was magnificent. 10

Lucas Moura

In the right place at the right time to stab home after Alli had flicked the ball on. Battled away to keep trying to get the ball back in advanced areas for Spurs with interceptions aplenty. Much, much better from the Brazilian. 8

Harry Kane

Opened the scoring after just four minutes with a glorious, dipping rocket of a shot from outside the box, giving Pope no chance. His second was also classic Kane, latching on to a loose ball, driving inside and lashing it past the keeper. Set up Sissoko for the Frenchman's second half goal. 9

Subs

Ryan Sessegnon

Got his first minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but didn't see too much of the ball out on the left. 5

Oliver Skipp

Replaced the injured Aurier in the final 10 minutes. N/A

Troy Parrott

A Premier League debut for the 17-year-old Irishman in the final minutes. Mourinho gave him the match ball after the final whistle. N/A
